FEB.13 @ MJQ & FEB.26 @ COI

This is what I like to see BOTH groups from City of Ink performing at the same event... Sloppy Seconds is always a fun night at MJQ so this will be dope...I would like to hear Mach 5 & Hollyweerd do more songs together... Like how Outkast, Goodie Mob, & DJ use to do back in the days... 2 different sounds coming together like the X-Men! After listening to the Greedmont Park mixtape I think it would be an amazing sound... The Atlanta radio stations are really fucking up the Atlanta music scene... Only playing "trap" music so this show will be a perfect escape from the fast food bullshit music on the radio...MJQ is on Ponce if you didn't know... Support Atlanta hip-hop & the indie music scene

Snake...

I love snakes so this was a fun piece to do...I did this tattoo last week on a cool lady from way back...I will be adding a background next to the tattoo... Shit I'm even planning on getting a snake tattoo myself...I want a Mike Giant design for my ribs...once I get free time off I plan on getting it... Her tattoo inspired me.... Thanks

Are We Robots?

I was on the plane leaving Miami going back to Atlanta...when I over heard the people sitting in front of me talking about "love" and how their daughter was going out with a dude they did not like....which inspired this drawing...I was looking at this toy robot book and thought to myself "People always trying to control things" even LOVE....love isn't logic and most of the time it don't even make sense...we listen to other peoples advice on love for guidance.... But do we ever follow their words of advice? A close friend of mine told me a few weeks ago, she was going out with a new guy...I can't really go into detail but what stood out was when she said "Our careers match" or something like that...just imagine picking a mate based on their JOB....it's the logical thing to do...but isn't that letting society control your opinion on what to look for in a mate? Just imagine if we let our parents pick our husbands & wives... Could you be happy with the person they picked for you? I feel once you listen to the words of other based on their opinion about your relationship and you let those opinions change how you see LOVE then you are a robot being controlled by the people around you....who's business is it? And why do you have to have the same old American type marriage or relationship? Why can't we see "love" like the rest of the world? Everyone is different and we all see love in a different way...so if we see love in a different way... Then we should all have different types of marriages & relationships...we are not robots....Love that person the same way they love you....you don't have to agree on everything just meet in the middle and don't try to change your mate... Do what you feel is natural... And respect your mate based on their views on life, love & relationships...

Bootleg Tattoos... Why?

I have been bootlegged MANY times...I have seen 100's of fake MB Originals...I have no clue why a person would take a photo of another persons tattoo and give is to a FAKE ass tattooist aka a "SCRATCHER" and copy their tattoo and put it on their body? That's just stupid to me... I know some people or customers don't know any better but the person doing the tattoos KNOW BETTER... I know it's a recession and we all have to eat but their is NO excuse for "stealing"... this happened to Corey Davis yesterday for the first time in his tattoo career... Welcome to the club young man...the bootleg tattoo was done in the dorm room over at Morehouse college...we are losing other youth because they are not being guiding in the right direction... Today kids have a lack of respect for art and tattooing and it's sad...they are tattooing victims who don't know any better and really hurting the whole tattoo industry...I will not name the Morehouse's dorm room scratcher.... Shit I was once a scratcher tattooing in my own dorm room but I never once copies another artists hard work and put it on other people for money... That's stealing and it's WRONG period....if you are reading this and have a problem with my opinion on tattooing & art... We can talk about it like men...but be clear I do NOT agree with tattooing people without professional training.. These are human beings and tattoos are for life...that can be very dangerous and unhealthy if you were not trained in this art form
