Dope Painting

Me & Prophet was walking through Castleberry Hill and dropped by Peters Street Art Gallery....they always have some dope paintings, this time I saw the paintings from tattoo artist, Sam Parker...this piece is titled "City Dweller" and is only on sale for $1500....I'm saving up for some tattoo chairs for COI and a new camera for myself so I can't buy this painting right now but if it's still up there after I get what I need a few of his new paintings will be mine :-)

Getting there....

I have been hard at work, trying to finish up my book "Before I'm Gone: The Art & Life of Miya Bailey" and getting my art studio together... Tonight I put together a desk my mother bought me for my bday...this new desk will be used for my water colors.... I have been working on a few new styles using different mediums.....I also have a drawing desk from Ikea today that will be used for large illustration work.... I will give yall a sneak preview of my new work very soon...here are a few update pics from my art studio:

These pieces are from Marvel Comics....I'm a HUGE X-Men fan!

My homie, Justin Huff gave me this piece... I love this photography, graphics, & art

My son, Prophet Ayim Bailey did this painting for me when he was 5 years old... I love it

An artist by the name "Blessed" did this oil painting of me and my wife years ago... I got it hanging by the door across from Prophet's painting to always remind why I work so hard... My family is everything to me.. We are "The Bailey Family"

Samba Sillah "Shop Manager"

The Art of Samba Sillah "City of Ink"

Some of yall might know Samba.. And some of yall don't...he is the shop manager of City of Ink, he's the one who books all our appointments, runs the shop and the person you talk to when you call the shop for info... But he is way more than a "manager" he is also an awesome visual artist.... From fine art paintings to detailed illustrations, Samba Sillah has an amazing gift I wish he would share with the world....he art is something different and new...and if he works hard this year I hope to see a "Samba Sillah" sketchbook for sale soon...I really want to see him do some tattoo flash, more paintings, and a series of sketchbooks...if you would like to reach Samba about his artwork, or just to tell him how much you like his art please call City of Ink @ 404-525-4465 after 1pm-10pm...Samba is off on Thursdays & Sundays... Positive feedback fuels an artist to work harder on their craft...so call and let him know
