Florencio finished up this koi and lotuses\loti\lotus flowers he started a while back on this guys back.
Mehdi added a little piece to fill up Charlie's 3/4 to the wrist of a Indonesian dancer lady.

Florencio the mexican, finished up this here back piece yesterday, the guy already had the tribal curls on his upper back, wich he wanted incorporated in the whole thing.

And furthermore a little preview on a Phoenix, Mehdi is working on.

Vikinger Fra Helvete

We had an awesome week here at the new shop. We could really get used to this whole new setting, I think.

Willem and I are sitting outside, next to a nice little fire we got started here, while I'm writing the blog, and winding down from a hectic but fun week.


Word of our new huble abode travels fast and far nowadays. Yesterday we got attacked and plundered by a pack of Evil, Wolf-Wrestling, Killer, Rapist, Vikings-From-Hell.

Really nice people!

I think they could have been part vampire aswell, because they couldn't stand the sun that good.

Here is a picture of when they caught Mehdi and started assaulting and man handling him. Poor guy, he didn't stand a chance against the Norwegian-bare-handed-bear-killers.

All kidding aside, they were really cool guys, and girl. Birdie came all the way from Norway to get the rest of his back started by Mehdi, He already had a piece by him that they started a couple of years ago in Copenhagen. Now he came back to get the rest of his back done.


We had a great time hanging out with these guys talking about wolf-wrestling-techniques, chewing 'cow dung' tobacco, and plundering villages in the old days.

That's a container of the cow dung tobacco, when you put it in your mouth for a while, it supposedly makes your breath smell like real viking breath and makes you irresistable to the viking women. Really potent stuff!


Mehdi got Birdie back pretty well for man-handling him earlier. With a 5 hour lining session on his sunburnt back.

All in all, take some awesome people, some awesome food, an awesome shop mix them all together and what you get is a pretty awesome time.

It's a dragon backpiece Mehdi finished a while back.
This one, he started about 2 or 3 years ago. Now he finaly came by to get it finished.

Back To Daily Life

Just another day at the office for us. More tattoos to be done. More drawings to be drawn. More coffee to be had.

And a little piece to be added to a backpiece.

Quickie

A small update on the Garuda back Mehdi is working on.

And just to keep you guys interested and coming back, I will do a full information-education post on Garuda on the next update of this back. Just to get all of you schooled in tattoo symbolism, and symbolism in general.

It Says I Should Enter The Title Here

Roger started a really bold old-school sleeve today.
You only get to see a little preview today, more pictures as it progresses.

Tony finished up a piece I posted on a while back.
It's the cover-up koi sleeve. There is a name under there somewhere, and the little butterfly you still see got rejuvenated. It got a little bit of butterfly Botox, and some saggy skin tightened around the eyes.

And yesterday besides being interviewed all day Mehdi also got some work done on the Yama back piece.

Break It Down, Stop. Gypsy Time!

A Tuesday like every other Tuesday. Seriously easy-going. Not that much happened, so not that much to write about. Roger drew and lined this here pretty pin-up today.


And Willem finished a piece he was doing on his brother.



I have a little bit of a shop announcement for all you whom care.

Piercings will be done only on Tuesdays from now on, so no piercings on Saturdays anymore.

Now You See Me, Now You Don't

Danny came trough to get some more work done on his gargantious back. Unfortunately for you guys I have no picture of the result of todays blood sweat and tears.
However though, Willem, our half man, half animal, half god, saved the day by coincidentally taking this here above sneak peek picture. Wich really doesn't help that much actually. Seeing that you barely see anything that was done on it today. But it's the thought that counts.

As consolation I present to you this here Lower leg sleeve, Mehdi finished up a couple of days ago.

Welcome Back, To Us!

We are back.

Herein follows the as promised convention coverage.
Well, half of it then. Seeing that we still need most of the photos wich were taken with another camera. Hopefully they will be here tomorrow.

It was more a boring weekend than an exciting one.

We had a little addition added to our yet existing banner, to promote our cosy little blog.

Not much tattooing happned the first day, and not so much more the next day.
Seeing that we are local, we invited some repeat clients to get some work done at the convention.



Ralf got some shading done on his dragon back piece of wich I have no pictures.



Stef got some color added to his flower sleeve of wich I have no pictures either.

Besides the millions of hours we spent on tattooing at the convention we also had time to drink some coffee, as Willem will demonstrate in the picture below.



Not only did we drink coffee, we also had time to sit and wait, as Roger will demonstrate in the following picture.



For the people whom came by on the convention, you were awesome! Hope you enjoyed it just as much as us.

Hopefully the other pictures taken at the convention are a bit more fun and exciting. Tune back tomorrow for some exciting news.

The Gate Keeper

Frank was back today to get some more work done on his Yama backpiece.


Yama is the Hindu lord of death. The Vedas describe him as the first man who died, blazing the path of mortality down which all men have since followed. He weighs the good and evil deeds of the dead and determines their retribution.

The guys here at the shop weren't to happy with the beautiful pictures of them I put in last weeks post, seeing that I didn't put one of myself on there aswell.
So after a quick photo session with Willem, whom was feeling a bit better today, I was forced to put up a picture of myself.



So now you know who takes the time to write to all you wonderful people everyday and keep you updated with the shop. You can even see the drawing I did for Willem in the background there.

Double The Action, Double The Pain.

Oh.. have I got something fun for you guys today.

Remember the dragon backpiece we started this blog off with, well Danny, the nice fella whos back it is, wanted it done as soon as possible so we went all out for him and doubled up on the action.



Florencio Rojas, our guest artist was all to happy to lend a helping hand in a time of need.


After a little bit of discussing of "who-is-going-to-do-what" they got started.



By the way, I am getting tattooed myself as I'm writing this, so don't expect it to be perfect. Willem is finishing up a piece on my calve, so maybe I'll post that soon.
But enough of that, let's get back to the post.

After a couple of hours Mehdi was left alone to finish up as Florencio had to finish up a piece of his own, wich I will include at the end of this post.


All off the shading and scales were done today. Not bad for about three hours of work.

After working on the backpiece with Mehdi, Florencio had some time to finish up this flower sleeve he was working on.

Serial Sleevage

Got some nice unfinished business here for you guys.

I myself am realy curious to how this one is going to look when it's done. Just love snake tattoos, can´t help it.



Next in line is a colorful flower sleeve Tony finished up, there is also a little cover-up in there somewhere.


And last but certainly not least, yet another backpiece Mehdi is working on. This time a Garuda. Still a lot of shading and color to come.


This one will probably not get finished until after the summer, but for you whom can not wait that long there will be one more shading session in about two weeks time.

Team Work

Today started off with Mehdi and Tony doing a collaborative sketch for a front-to-back dragon piece, wich Tony later lined. Whilst Tony was finishing up on the sketch and started the line work, Mehdi finished up a 3/4 colorful japanese flower sleeve and got to do some classic bow stockings.


It's always interesting and educative to see someone else's take on a drawing you are working on.


You can learn so much, just by listening to other peoples oppinions, and be open minded towards new influences and ideas.


Dennis was a real champ and hung in there for quite some hours. Initialy they wanted to line the whole piece in one session, but after a couple of painfull and exhausting hours they both called it quits for the day.


Unfortunately I only managed to get this here action shot and a close-up shot of the japanese flower sleeve.


The rest of the pictures failed miserably at being focused (so blame the camera, not me).


Still, you get the idea, and I'll make some pictures of the whole thing when it's healed.


It's a long way down.


Tomorrow I'll be doing the shop tour and all the people at the shop (dont take that the wrong way).

Seeing that the last sentence took me 10 minutes to type and it didn't even come out the way it was meant to be..... I probably should be going to bed.

Oh yeah....almost forgot.....
