300!

Pow pow pow!
First post of 2012, 300th post total!

Happy New Year everybody!

I got a couple of picturas por mi trusty readers.

First off, a chest by Mehdi, wich is actually finished already. I can't find the  finished picture, so you'll have to do with this one for now.
However, Mehdi did post it on his Twitter, maybe you can find on there, while you're at it, follow the boss man.

Also I got this koi sleeve by Mehdi, wich I've had lying around for almost half a year now, maybe it's time to post it now.

I only have a little Phoenix by Florencio.

He actually finally got a smart phone, so he's figuring that out and posting more images on his facebook, with a lot of in progress work you won't see here on the blog, so go and befriend him aswell.

Willem decided to extend his urban-zoo animal collection with a Pigeon and a Trout.

Roger finished a samurai tiger.

Bet you didn't know tigers can be samurai!

Pot Of Gold!

I had this really cool quote I wanted to start this post off with, but I can't remember what it was.
So I'll start off with a completely random quote.

"If you want a guarantee, buy a toaster.'  -Clint Eastwood

Now we got that out-of-the-way, it's time for the picture section of this intellectual post.

I had this picture in line to get posted for a while, but before I could get to it Mehdi had already done the next session on it, so you get two for the price of one! Now, how's that for a deal!?

Still not completely finished, the japanese skyscraper in the back there needs a couple of layers of exterior paint.

Furthermore we had some leprechauns over all the way from Ireland.

It was off-season in rainbow-country so Gillian and her friends got a chance to leave the pot of gold unguarded and hop on over the big pond, to get Gillian's sleeve started by Mehdi.
Ironic that she works for Disney aswell.... ( get it? being a leprechaun and all...)

Gillian! If you read this, someone hacked into the bunker blog and wrote all of this! I'm innocent! And I hope you don't hurt me the next time you come over. Thanks for your understanding.

Sincerely,
-Andy McCockinson

 A hearty lantern by Willempie!

EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW!! NEVER SEEN BEFORE (well maybe if you have Willem on facebook) but other than that NEVER SEEN BEFORE!!!

A Owl still in progress, so you'll get the bigger picture when it's finished.

Vikinger Fra Helvete

We had an awesome week here at the new shop. We could really get used to this whole new setting, I think.

Willem and I are sitting outside, next to a nice little fire we got started here, while I'm writing the blog, and winding down from a hectic but fun week.

Word of our new huble abode travels fast and far nowadays. Yesterday we got attacked and plundered by a pack of Evil, Wolf-Wrestling, Killer, Rapist, Vikings-From-Hell.

Really nice people!

I think they could have been part vampire aswell, because they couldn't stand the sun that good.

Here is a picture of when they caught Mehdi and started assaulting and man handling him. Poor guy, he didn't stand a chance against the Norwegian-bare-handed-bear-killers.

All kidding aside, they were really cool guys, and girl. Birdie came all the way from Norway to get the rest of his back started by Mehdi, He already had a piece by him that they started a couple of years ago in Copenhagen. Now he came back to get the rest of his back done.

We had a great time hanging out with these guys talking about wolf-wrestling-techniques, chewing 'cow dung' tobacco, and plundering villages in the old days.

That's a container of the cow dung tobacco, when you put it in your mouth for a while, it supposedly makes your breath smell like real viking breath and makes you irresistable to the viking women. Really potent stuff!

Mehdi got Birdie back pretty well for man-handling him earlier. With a 5 hour lining session on his sunburnt back.

All in all, take some awesome people, some awesome food, an awesome shop mix them all together and what you get is a pretty awesome time.

Top Secret Information Bulletin Message Blog Post Unit

A little piece Roger started this week.

Furthermore I have a little private announcement to make, but you have to promise not to tell anyone, because it's supposed to be a secret... Like the title already stated.

We are getting ready for a some huge changes at the Bunker, for our 10th anniversary.

I'm not going to spill all the beans at once so you'll have to be patient and keep an eye on the blog, but it has to do with moving to a bigger location. And it's going to happen soon.

That's it for this week, see you next week.

The Rock

Willem started a heavy-metal-ass-dragon-rib-piece, the guy he did it on was made of pure rock!

The guy didn't move for 3,5 hours of lining on the ribs, occasionally we had to check if he wasn't dead.

Amaterasu

The Japanese Shinto sun goddess, ruler of the Plain of Heaven.
Her full name "Amaterasu-Ō-Mi-Kami", means "Great Goddess" or "Great Spirit Who Shines in the Heavens".
She was so bright and radiant that her parents sent her up the Celestial Ladder to heaven, where she has ruled ever since.

When her brother, the storm-god Susanowa, ravaged the earth she retreated to a cave because he was so noisy. She closed the cave with a large boulder. Her disappearance deprived the world of light and life. Demons ruled the earth. The other gods used everything in their power to lure her out, but to no avail. Finally it was Uzume who succeeded. The laughter of the gods when they watched her comical and obscene dances aroused Amaterasu's curiosity. When she emerged from her cave a streak of light escaped (a streak nowadays people call dawn). The goddess then saw her own brilliant reflection in a mirror which Uzume had hung in a nearby tree. When she drew closer for a better look, the gods grabbed her and pulled her out of the cave. She returned to the sky, and brought light back into the world.

The Amazingly Strong Story Of FengHuang.

Once upon a time in prejurassic Russia, there was a Chinese carpenter named Fengske. He sucked at carpentry because he went to prejurassic artschool and they told him that building things with wood was soooo last year and he needed to reinvent stuff.

He decided to skip the next class and go eat mushrooms with his buddy Thor. Thor accidentially ate a wrong one and got in an anger tantrum, hitting everything with his hammer. A little dungbeetle called Hermke was pushing a flintstone to his hole, for reasons unknown. Thor was so pissed at the dungbeetle for not pushing dung, that he struck the flintstone. This caused the flint to spark and it burned the artschool down.

Fengske was so amazed by the blazing fire that he decided to no longer build tables and chairs and other things carpenters build, but to burn them down instead. He was reinventing himself, and he soon became the best carpenter in the whole entire universeness.

After a while he thought he had to reinvent himself again, because burning down carpented stuff was soooo prejurassic.  He thought of all the things he could burn, but nothing was good enough to become an instant designclassic. Nothing, until he thought of his neighbouring peacock called Huang.

He sneaked in to his house, doused Huang in gasoline and struck the flint. The amazing fire that followed was so hot, it fused Feng and Huang together. That's how the FengHuang was born.

Enter The Dragon

A little picture for the weekend of a sleeve Mehdi is working on, the bottom part was already there.
Mehdi only did the dragon.

The pictures don't do it justice though, it looks way better in real life.

Dim Sum Thursday

90 Minutes in and I'm still staring at a blank screen. All I got is this stupid title that doesn't even make any sense what so ever. We didn't even have dim sum today.

Pretty stupid I can think of anything relevant to say, because this is a
picture that could have quite some text with it.
But, by the looks of it, I think this one will pass by here a couple of times more before it's finished. So I'll have a second chance sometime soon to make up for today.

All I have to say is, this is Kees, he's getting a full bodysuit by Mehdi, and he has quite a way to go still.
Thanks for tuning in, have a great night, and see you tomorrow.

Prepare The Lynch

So, I guess I have to apologize for yesterday's post.
Yes, that's right, the one that never existed.

That was actually the first time, since I started this blog, that I forgot to post. I had that feeling of forgetting something but not knowing what it is in my head all day. It wasn't untill 2:30 last night that I realized that I've neglected my trusty readers.

This morning I had already received some hate-mail. Haters gonna hate.
But I'm headstrong, you won't get me down, you stupid hater peoples!

Here's a nice little skull Willem is working on.

It's Been A While

Some of you might remember this sleeve Mehdi started a couple of months ago, back in summer time.

I got a couple of pictures of the work still in progress.

The pictures were taken a while back already, so she should be back soon to get the rest of it finished.

Sleep Is The Cousin Of Waking Up

Mehdi fell asleep in his chair today, so Roger thought it might be a good idea to take advantage of his narcoleptic episode and give him an unwanted tattoo.

If you're wondering why he fell asleep without his T-shirt on, that was a pure coincidence. Also, Roger having all the stuff ready for the tattoo was purely coincidental, aswell as Mehdi waking up exactly just when the tattoo was done.
Boy! Talking about a weirdly coincidental day!
