Somebody Pass Me The Nailclippers

I was supposed to introduce you to the whole Bunker crew today and do a little tour of the shop.
Except half of the crew did not make it to work today for various reasons, so that pretty much put a dent in my plans.
Nevertheless I got some 360 panorama action for you of the shop for a quick impression.

Click on it for a better view.

Willem realy realy realy needs a manicure, if any of you reading this post can do a manicure please stop by the shop next week.

Willem stayed in late to do some work on his brother. He did some shading on a swallow piece his working on, next session he'll add the color.

Team Work

Today started off with Mehdi and Tony doing a collaborative sketch for a front-to-back dragon piece, wich Tony later lined. Whilst Tony was finishing up on the sketch and started the line work, Mehdi finished up a 3/4 colorful japanese flower sleeve and got to do some classic bow stockings.

It's always interesting and educative to see someone else's take on a drawing you are working on.

You can learn so much, just by listening to other peoples oppinions, and be open minded towards new influences and ideas.

Dennis was a real champ and hung in there for quite some hours. Initialy they wanted to line the whole piece in one session, but after a couple of painfull and exhausting hours they both called it quits for the day.

Unfortunately I only managed to get this here action shot and a close-up shot of the japanese flower sleeve.

The rest of the pictures failed miserably at being focused (so blame the camera, not me).

Still, you get the idea, and I'll make some pictures of the whole thing when it's healed.

It's a long way down.

Tomorrow I'll be doing the shop tour and all the people at the shop (dont take that the wrong way).

Seeing that the last sentence took me 10 minutes to type and it didn't even come out the way it was meant to be..... I probably should be going to bed.

Oh yeah....almost forgot.....

The dragon on Dennis......or at least part of it.

Trying to walk Rabbit

Rabbit wasn't trying to walk today... I guess it was too hot for the lil' guy...or he just spoiled... Everytime someone see him they pick him...life of a French Bulldog in Atlanta

The Next Day

I was on facebook and the homie tagged the photo of the "eye" tattoo I did yesterday.... I love to see a tattoo the following day or 2...people say my eyes are my trademark...their not my trademark to ME but hey... Whatever makes the people happy....I actually got those eyes from my mother... When I was a kid, my mom would draw eyes for me... I would be amazed by the feeling it gave me... Like they were looking right back at me...she would also draw Erie & Bert (and graffiti bubble letters) but that's another story...

Peanuts

Willem got down and dirty doing this here neo-traditional foot tattoo today. Only lining for now, next time there will be more color and a lot more needles and pain, all the good stuff.

You should not mess with this guy or he'll ram his foot up your......

.....anyway...... I'll give you a sneak peak at what's still to come.

Probably some time this week I'll do a little tour of the shop, and a little bit about the people that work here and ofcourse I'll try to upload as much as possible of the work they make.

For now, you can enjoy looking at Mr. Peanut himself, Roger Merling Meijer, more on that in the next post.

"The Eye"

I really don't know why people ask me to do eyes... But I don't mind....for some reason it's relaxing whenever I do one....windows to the soul
