Modern day politics.

An article i did for UKIP's Young Independence Site which is due to be shorted out a some point, but never mind, here is the article.

Modern day Politics.

In this age of global communication via smart looking mobile phones, the Internet, Facebook,Twitter and all sorts of social media the people of the world are able to talk others all over the world and discuss ideas and points of view, including politics.

Unlike say fifty years ago, people had only local information to guide them on their daily lives and how their local area was run and who by.

The difference then was that most people involved in politics and elected by the people back then stood for what they believed in unlike today.

In this 21st century style of politics, there is a new breed of politician that is only interested in him/herself and what they can get out of being a (career politician). Unlike the politicians that once stood for something and believed what they stood for.

The major problem with this new career politician is that they seem to have no interest in serving the people who elected them to their position and just use the old style voter, who are stuck in the apathy mode of thinking, that it is better to elect someone or party that can win and keep the party you don't like out, this mode of thinking is not helping to shape some peoples thinking including young people.

Most young people have little or no interest in politics today, due to the way the political landscape has become, full of sleaze and not caring what people or even young people think or want due to the career politician's inability to understand or connect with them.

Thankfully, there are many young people out there that are beginning to think and see for themselves, that not everybody even in politics and the world is out for themselves.

I myself ,am involved with a political party that cares and believes in asking what the people old or young what they want in life and it is something that i believe in myself and will pass on to who ever i find to be interested in knowing themselves.

New political parties, like the UK Independence Party are even trying to get young people on aboard and interested in politics again so that we may continue what those that we're young once before have started and hopefully, that us young members will not only try to bring more young people into politics and debate with them, but pass on what we have learned on our own journey into this modern world and understand that not all young people are want to ignore or not get involved in modern day politics.

Who would you trust to give you a referendum.

With the Irish referendum on the Lisbon treaty now out the way, the focus in Britain for it's people to have a say on Lisbon is now fully in the hands of the CONservative party, lead by "Call me Dave" Cameron.

Will he grant the British people, their right to have a say on the treaty as Labour and the lib Dem's have gone against the commitment promise in their manifesto's to let the people decide their own future and the future of this island.

UKIP certainly will let the people have a say on how they want to be run and who by.

This morning David Cameron appeared on the Andrew Marr show and was asked repeatedly, if he will give the people a say or not.

Also interviewed this morning was departing leader of UKIP, Nigel Farage in which he stated that Cameron will not say or that Nigel believes that Cameron will give the people a say on our future in the EU.

Below are the two interviews, so i leave you to decide which one you would trust the most to give you a say or vote on Britain's future in the EU.

Irish vote YES to EU lisbon treaty.

It is a sad for democracy as the EU's Lisbon treaty is finally given the thumbs up by the Irish Republic who voted NO last year to the same treaty.

With 25 EU member states who's national parliaments have passed the treaty, (including Britain last year) without even giving their own people a say on the treaty or not.

The only states left to pass the treaty are Poland and the Czech Republic who are with holding the passing of the treaty til the Czech parliament checks if the treaty goes against the Czech constitution.

Now that we know that Labour and the Lib Dem's have gone against their manifesto's and the wishes of their voters and voted against having a referendum, then we only have the Conservative party lead by "Call me Dave" Cameron on if he will give the British people a referendum on the treaty or not.

There is also a possibility that former British prime minister (Tony Blair) could be selected as the EU's first president if the treaty is passed by all member states in the end.

But also in the news this week by the BBC in a poll is that the smaller parties like UKIP maybe on the rise, due to the disgust of the way the three main parties have gone these days. One can but hope, as UKIP does not only want to withdraw from the EU but also allow the UK to have a vote on the country's future in the EU unlike the three main parties.

We now have a big fight on our hands to let the British people truly speak their minds and how they want not only their lives governed, but from where they are governed.

Saying non registered child care should be illegal.

I thought life couldn't get worse under this control freak government and system with latest issue in our daily lives being about how and who looks after our children.

They have been saying from what i have read and heard so far that they want people who are not on the childminder register to register, including normal parents who have to friends look after other friends children, this issue arising from a news story of two mothers looking after each others children.

"A spokesman for the Department for Children, Schools and Families said childcare rules were not intended to "interfere in informal arrangements".

Well, unless i have gone stupid, it sounds like they are asking for normal friends and parents be on a register.

To me, this is just the people who have nothing better to do during the day then come up with silly un-common sense ideas that just annoy's normal members of the public.

Isn't life fun some days when stupid open their mouths.

UKIP Tamworth branch.

Last night i attended a meeting at the Plough and Harrow pub in Tamworth, that i live ten minutes from to try to start up the Tamworth branch of UKIP, and i am a pleased to say the branch is now up and running.

So in the space of a about six weeks, we have now started the Coventry and this new branch to add the list of West Midlands UKIP branches and hopefully more will follow, although i am still having trouble trying to get the North Warwickshire branch up at the moment.

But hey!, never give up as they say.

A great conference.

Following UKIP's second break through in the European and Local election of 2009, was the 2009 UKIP party conference.

Not only was this my second conference since joining the party in late 2006, but it was the best conference that i have attended so far and the same was also said by many other members coming from all over the country.

Thursday night started off well after the attending the Prospective parliamentary candidate training, followed by the chairmens reception which not only was great to catch up with current and new members, but also was the start of a few cold pints and lastly followed by joining the UKIP youth group, YI (Young Independence) gang for a few more drink.

A great night but it's hard to try to eat your breakfast after a few pints the nex day though.

Friday started off well by meeting in the main hall to hear the opening speakers and to hear from old and newly elected MEPs and how well UKIP is being taken seriously by many out there in the country now.

Most important news was that Nigel Farage,UKIP's current leader would be standing down from his post not only to us members was a surprise, but was even more of a surprise that he would be challenging the current House of Commons speak, John Bercow in his parliamentary seat Buckingham.
at the next general election

Boy was this news to us members and not only that, many people including bookies now and voters at Conservativehome would back Nigel for the seat.

Followed by this was talks from our MEPs followed by speeches of members of YI of which i was speaking and lets just say it didn't go the way i had hoped but we all learn don't we.

The end of the first day conference was follow by a evening dinner in the same hall and the was quiet good and was inteading to go out with the YI lads but i felt a bit ill, due to ear ache and did not sleep well that night because of it.

The next and last day was mainly party motions put forward by branches and party members one of which was about with holding the TV licence fee from the BBC due to their biased reporting of UKIP lately and the fact the BBC is getting big amounts of money from the EU, to not only block anti-EU parties like UKIP, but to make the British people think that the EU is great when it makes 75% of our UK laws now.

The second motion i can't really remember and last one was to support shutting down the Smoke Free Quango, funded by EU funds, was passed by nearly everybody in the hall.

Towards the end of three day conference was again followed by another great speech from Nigel and he was cheered greatly for all he has done to make UKIP the fighting people's party is it becoming now and lastly, the end the day, the songs, Rule Britannia, Land of hope and glory and God save the queen.

Now we roll on for more hard work, first waiting to see how the Irish vote in the second referendum of the Lisbon Treaty aka the (EU Constitution) and after that being the next the general election. When ever Mr Gordon useless Brown will call it ?.

Let hope that UKIP gets at least one or two seats and most importantly, lets the get Nigel Farage elected in the Buckingham.

Trade and growing food abroad.

This story also grabbed my attention today as well.

British companies buying and farming land in other countries like Ukraine to feed us here at home, although i have no problem with Britain trading and buying foods from all over the world.

But when big companies start taking control of yours or even another country's farm land, well to me signals something worrying when another former USSR country like Ukraine are trying to rebuild from the days of communism and get their country back on track for us to show up all of a sudden and start taking the farm land off them.

Well i not sure about this idea so i leave you to think about and decide it by going to the link in the blog.

UK payment to the EU to go up.

Thought i would start this latest update with a story that made my blood boil today.

That Britain's EU membership payments are to go up from next year to keep feeding this over bloated and very corrupt European Union empire as one of my UKIP friends likes to call it now.

It was not just this latest story that got my attention, but that "The Treasury said it was right for the UK "to share the burden of membership with new accession countries".

I mean at a time that Britain is in the worst financial mess in it's history that our puppet government seems happy to keep paying a huge corrupt club that just sucks the life, democracy and money out of us 24/7.

Plus the fact the "The Conservatives say this latest increase in the UK's contribution proves that successive Labour governments have given away far too much to Europe".

There ones to talk when they took us into the EU/then EEC in 1973, so they have no reason to moan.

So at the end of the if you want to know why Britain is broke and cannot seem to fix itself these days the look no further then at the corrupt EU and it's YES master puppets. OUR government.
