Laughter Really Is The Best Medicine

V3 fans...get excited! Khurt is taking his amazing designs on the road and this incredible work of art will only be found at the Black and Blue Fair starting June 4th.

This June, a selection of your favorite designers, including V3, will be presenting brand new and exclusive items only available at the fair and nowhere else (at least until the fair is over). Accessories, clothing, skin, hair and more, the fair will have it all.

The purpose of the fair is two fold. Firstly, FASHION. Who doesn't love a good fashion event? Brand new items, some at discount rates, all in one glorious shoppers heaven...love at first sight. Second, there will be information about all sorts of mental health issues and illnesses throughout the venue. Mostly these will be visual aid around the precious couture so that people won't have to read huge chunks of text.

The main purpose of the fair is really to de-stigmatize mental health issues. There are many people in Second Life that have unhappy "real lives" for whatever reason. Some of them are unwell, disabled, depressed and other people are just lonely or don't like who they think they are, but no one is alone in Second Life and everyone can be themselves. So don't let it beat you black and blue...couture can help.

The location remains a secret for now....but in just a few days, we will reveal the spot and landmark...so keep it tuned here! V3 loves it's body art, and it has a heart to go with it.

Don't forget, Laughter Is The Best Medicine is the V3 Black and Blue Fair exclusive design and will only be available at the fair from June 4 - July 3. So if you think you can slide into the V3 store and pick this baby up..no way..you gotta put some effort into it...like a first date! It's all in the planning and anticipation.

Until the big reveal...keep it here...I'll bring you everything you need to know about the fair and how to get there. I am off like a prom dress....to the nearest tattoo place...more ink never hurts.

Two Plates Of Sushi Please!

I was working my butt off for tomorrows convention, so Willem volunteered to write todays blog.
Enjoy.

It was a bit smelly in our shop today, and it had everything to do with Dennis and his two fish. Today, Mehdi gave his sweet, swimmy petpals a little bit of water to swim in, and some flowers to play with.

But, as everybody knows, working with fish is a smelly business so we were a little happy and a little sad when Dennis left.

Little did we know that our joy was not long to last... Just as our noses got used to the clean air of sweaty, rough tattooed men, the smell of fish returned. The culprit was Matthieu and his fishy sleeve. Matthieu's koi looked a bit sad, so Mehdi added a little colour to his life. Now he is a happy fish and we all wish for him to live long and prosper, in blue waters, with many many friends. Dear TattooGods, don't let him end up in a pile of sushi, waiting to be devoured by hungry mouths...

After we send Matthieu swimming and we could breathe again, it was time to prepare for tomorrow's convention. Packing, building, more sweating.

Dead tired as we were, we still found the strength within to set up a photo shoot that turned out so awesome and epic, it would make strong men weak in their knees.
It would bring tears to the eyes of Zeus.
It made men grow beards.
It made women faint in excitement.

BEHOLD! As promised, the ultra-top-secret-goodie surprise!

Garments that will take all your problems and sorrows away. Clothing that, simply put, will definately make your life better.
Please drop by the shop and get yours while they last.

Chest Piece

This is the "Temptation" chest piece I did yesterday at City of ink... He asked me for negative space and lots of flow...He has another appointment tomorrow to go down to his art...I will keep y'all updated

Superfishal

Wonder Woman came to save the day, as Willem was up to something fishy today.

Just as he was busy squeezing this here evil, up to no good, super trout into the what was left space on Jorgs leg. Making it one of the most outrageously brilliant, evil-minded trout tattooed legs in the history of mankind.

BAMMM!!! POWW!!! SMASHHHHH!!!!

Wonder Woman came smashing through the door. To kick some evil trout but.

POW!! SMACK!! KLANGG!!!!

Stunned by Wonder Womans instant super ultra surprise attack, the evil, up to no good, super trout made a quick escape.
As he fled the scene he warned her that this was not the last she would see of him, for he would come back one day as the most evilly colored trout the world has ever seen.

It never stops...

Thoughts are unlimited...everything comes in..mixes up and come out beautiful...nothing is wasted...memories are gas fueling flames of untamed thought patterns... Different from yours... But understood by my kind...artist they call us...the creators of worlds...the masters of turning nothing into something...worshipped by some.... Hated by those who don't understand... We are visual angels....taking orders to create by the Most High.. We are artist and it never stops

The reason I walk...

A lot of people ask me "Miya, everytime I see you, your walking by yourself" that's because I walk for a reason...it's because I'm never in a rush unless I'm tryin to go see a movie or caught a flight out of town...I rarely get alone time so this is the perfect way to enjoy "peace of mind" and think of some new art ideas...and really enjoy not hearing other peoples voices....people miss so much of the small things driving... Maybe it's just my Asheville hippie side but I want to feel the sun... I want to feel the cold.. I want to enjoy each of the Earth's seasons...for example today.. Me & Rabbit were walking over to my art studio... And I almost stepped on a baby bird, because I was listening to UGK radio on Pandaro...I tried to help the bird but it started crying for it's mother...she showed up and I kept it moving...didn't feel like being attacked by birds today...but it's those small things that inspire my art and my life.. God send us lessons in strange way sometime... It's up to you to dicipher the message.

Lotus Dragonfly: SLEEVE

This is my 2nd session on this arm...it's started off as a cover-up.. She gave me 100% creative control on the colors, ideas, shit everything....so it didn't feel like "WORK" this is something I would have done for free... But she still paid me..my back started hurting so I decided to stop right at the dragonfly...the next season I will add more colors...Tuki Carter showed me a coloring shortcut that cut my tattoo time in half so I got a lot more skin covered in a shorter time... Thanks bruh!!

BEST CRY EVER: A & E show "Intervention"

I know I shouldn't be laughing at crackheads...but hey somethings in life are just funny..so I hope no one takes this too serious..I'm human and I do LAUGH..lol I hope he is clean and off drugs today...and hit up youtube for the remix in autotune.

Mike Flo – The Gospel [Video]

I love to see my friends and family connect...proof that we can stand on our own without asking for help from outsiders...unless those outsiders are the ones supporting our art and buying our music...Miko Flo is like a brother to me..a MAN who isn't afraid of expression and a freedom fighter for us all...and Corey Davis did a beautiful job with matching Mike's words with the visual...the use of the christian church was genius!!! None of my close friends follow a religion but to use a church in this video was PERFECT!...so listen to the words to this song...Corey, you did it again lil' bruh...don't stop keep those videos coming and I will cont' to post them.

Our Little Slice Of Heaven

Finally the weather is starting to clear up and the sun is showing its face more often. So I got to sneak outside and take a snapshot of our humble abode.

This is where we tattoo drunken sailors and outlaw scum all day.

Don't let the calm and peacefull outside fool you though, it's hard work on the inside.

Mehdi finished up this woman turning into a demon. Wich pretty much sums up where the japanese Hannya masks come from.
The Hannya mask represents a woman who has been betrayed by love and is filled with rage, jealousy and hatred. She has become a demon, bearing little resemblance to a woman anymore.

To Infinity And Beyond

Willems client, Niels,  came all the way from the other side of the universe, just for us. He was on his way for like 5 months to get here, lucky for him he had a really fast space ship. Nonetheless it's really amazing and shows how dedicated he is to get tattooed by us.

Got to have respect for him for coming all that way even if it's just for a small tattoo on his chest. It doesn't matter how small or large the tattoo, we still put everything we have into it to do it the best we possibly can.
Niels is even coming back in the near future to get two half-sleeves by Mehdi.

Tony did some coloring on a phoenix he lined some time ago, but it's still not finished, so you will have to wait to see the final result.

He also continued on a cover-up he is working on. And believe it or not! This time I actually have a little bit of proof of it being a cover-up.

Just like I said, a "little" bit of proof. He already did a large piece of it before this picture was taken, but you can still see some of the old tribal on top there and a pin-up in the background.

Slowly but surely it is disappearing into the koi, when it's done you will probably never know that there was another tattoo underneath it.

Mach Five's "Just Go" May 24th

Corey Davis will be releasing his first short film on Vimeo this Monday, May 23rd, called Mach Five's "Just Go"

And things will never be the same............

I have turned the fabulous Ms. Ray Ray loose, keep your eyes open there will actually be new stuff here regularly.

Welcome her with open arms, and remind her to eat the occasional piece of cake.

The Gate Keeper

Frank was back today to get some more work done on his Yama backpiece.

Yama is the Hindu lord of death. The Vedas describe him as the first man who died, blazing the path of mortality down which all men have since followed. He weighs the good and evil deeds of the dead and determines their retribution.

The guys here at the shop weren't to happy with the beautiful pictures of them I put in last weeks post, seeing that I didn't put one of myself on there aswell.
So after a quick photo session with Willem, whom was feeling a bit better today, I was forced to put up a picture of myself.

So now you know who takes the time to write to all you wonderful people everyday and keep you updated with the shop. You can even see the drawing I did for Willem in the background there.

Ancient Artifacts

We are going archaeological on this post.

Mehdi tattooed an old friend today, whom just happened to have some of his first tattoos. Wich was really cool to see.

These prehistoric tattoos date back to over 15 years ago.

They're holding up pretty well after all those years.

Actually the one on top did not look like this when Mehdi first did it. It was a really young warrior, but years gone by and he got older, now it looks like an old chief.

More old skool action on Rogers side of the fence. Not so much the tattoo itself but the style sure is.

Lining and shading were done today, color still to come.

And this next tattoo by Tony could have gone well with the ancient tattoos theme, seeing that it is a cover-up, covering an old tribal.
Except for the fact that Tony never actually remembers to take a "before" picture, so we can not backup the claim of this being ancient aswell.

If you are reading this, you should really start to comment on my posts. It would be nice to have some feedback every now and then.
