Higher Standards
She sets a perfect example for how clients are supposed to behave.
Frankly, I think we should keep this tradition going. As from 2011 everybody that gets tattooed by us, should bring food and stuff.
So we can all get along and make 2011 a happy year.
With that out-of-the-way.
This will be the last post of 2010!
I would like to thank all of you who got tattooed by us this year, we appreciate every single one of you.
Have a happy new year and a great 2011.
See you in the future!

'O Solar Mio
It's not as traditional Japanese as you would expect from Mehdi, this one has a little bit of a twist to it.
It depicts Amaterasu, the japanese sun goddess. I'll have more about that, and the hidden Imp and the mirror and the necklace on the next post.
I just wouldn't be myself if I told you everything at once, now would I?

Fine Cuisine
Finally we got a glimpse of his langoustine sleeve aswell, wich is turning out pretty okay if you ask me.
What is a langoustine? You ask. It's a small Nordic lobster. Wich turned out pretty huge on Marnix' arm.
He's a fine cuisine chef and always brings books with beautiful pictures of food into the shop. Kind of a weirdo if you ask me, with his food-porn.
But I guess everybody has their own little weirdness going on somehow, somewhere.

Merry Dirty Christmas
Secondly I have a bigger picture of yesterdays quick post.
Thirdly, I made even more pictures of even more awesome tattoos, but unfortunately the blurry-photo-fairy came by again and ruined that for you, so you'll never actually know how awesome those tattoos were.
Too bad isn't it? I guess santa will skip me this year for being a bad photographer.

Sneak Peekaboo
jonathan
Stunning leg tattoo (if I do say myself), Jon found me via a comment on a tattoo forum in New Zealand.
He had been searching for two years for a Maori inspired Kirituhi Tatttoo specialist. He plans to visit me at the Tattoo freeze convention on the 15/16 Jan to show off his tattoo...

New Week, New Chances
We want something more in-depth, something that could help people live their life to a higher standard. Something that could possibly change the world.
So we came up with the idea to put up a little life lesson, motto or quote every now and then.
To kick it off you get two of them.
Remember to:
"Love thy neighbor, when her husband leaves for work."
and make sure to:
"Live your life, untill you die of death."
Hope we can reach out and touch a couple of hearts with this and make the world a better place.
Love

Geben Sie Bitte Ihren Titel Ein
Some of you might remember me mentioning something about a sleeve that I was going to document from beginning to end, to show the whole process, from the general idea to finished tattoo.
Alas, my efforts were sabotaged by the shitty-picture fairy. Fortunately though, we make more than one sleeve a year, so I got a second chance from the almighty second-chance fairy.
Yesterday you got the lined sleeve, today you get the process of making the drawing.
First Mehdi drew the main composition on the skin with pen, whereafter he took it off and put it on paper.
Then he makes a rough sketch of the overal drawing.
After that he fine tunes it in pencil.
Final design in pen.
Time to stick it on and start with tattooing.

It's Not A Phoenix
That's right, a Fenghuang. It's kind of the eastern equivalent of the western Phoenix, but at the same time it's not.
Although they are both fire-birds, the stories differ quite a bit from each other.
In the western world the Phoenix represents rebirth, immortality and renewal.
In the far east however, the Fenghuang is considered one of the four celestial creatures that the Chinese believed created the world.
The other three being the dragon, the unicorn and the tortoise. After the creation of the world, the heavens were divided into four quadrants, one for each creature: north, south, east and west; and Fenghuang ruled over the southern quadrant of heaven, which represented summer. Therefor it is commonly associated with the sun.
In China and Japan it was a symbol of the imperial house, and it represented, fire, the sun, justice, obedience, and fidelity.
