It's that time again!! It's City of Ink's 4th anniversary on Friday Feb.28... If you are an artist and want to be apart of this art show the deadline is Feb.20... After the art show.. We will be having a private screening of Corey Davis debut film "J is for Junkie" a film showing you the struggles & stories of downtown ATL's drug addicts... Very power!

Young Miya...Old Photo

Artist Craig "Flux" Singleton found this old photo of me... I had to be around 19-20 years old... It's crazy seeing these old photos..my nickname back then was "Souljah" so that's what the drawing is in the book... I was also trying to design the classic "Black Ghetto Prophets aka BGP" logo.. Using the elements: moon, star, 7, Sperm cell, & Ankh... Thanks for this pic Flux.. Brought back some good memories when life was simple.

Visual Prophets....Goldi Gold & Flux

I love Brandi's Doc the Artist series. She did one on two of my closest friends. I met Flux and Goldi back in college. I wish I could find those old video tapes from school. Me and Flux was studying 5% lessons and I would see Goldi at all the Zulu nation meetings. We have been kicking it for a long time now..and I love these brothers deeply. Real artist with passion who isn't all hollywood and brand new...thats why I fuck with them and love them like my brothers....

It's 3:51am and my soul is in deep pain. One of our brothers, Jax passed away tonight. I really don't have any words right now, all I can say is "I LOVE YOU JAX." Craig "FLUX" Singleton....one of my favorite artist

If your in ATL and read the "Rolling Out" weekly paper then I know you have seen Flux's artwork. I met Flux in 1994 when were we both going to AIA. He has always been an amazing artist and everytime I see new work from him he inspires me to work even harder on my paintings. I was on youtube and hit up one of my favorite channels, Jungle45 TV. Goldi Gold filmed Flux finishing up his, Mary J painting for the Arts, Beats, Lyrics art show. I had to share this video clip with yall..and I hope it inspires you the same way it inspired me. Art lives in ATL!
