Seeing that everyone finished and left early today, I'll have myself an it's-weekend-party!
I found some alcohol in the back so it should be a blast, who's joining me?

Worth The Wait
Probably one of his fastest sleeves, yet it took him twice as long to finish.
Mehdi finally finished this sleeve today, it took him about 5 hours total.
Except for the fact he started it a year ago.

Big Fat Fishy
Mehdi finished the fat koi last week, I just didn't have time to post about it.
I don't think I have ever spent any time telling you the whole meaning behind the koi. And even if I did do so before, here it is again.
The Japanese koi in a nutshell.
According to Japanese legend, if a koi succeeds in climbing the falls at a point called Dragon Gate on the Yellow River, it would be transformed into a dragon. Based on that legend, it became a symbol of worldly aspiration and advancement.
The Japanese associate the koi with perseverance in adversity and strength of purpose. Because of its strength and determination to overcome obstacles, it stands for courage and the ability to attain high goals.

Portrait Tattoo (lastnight)
He wanted a picture of his mother tattooed on him (first tattoo) He didn't have an original photo so I had to use a drawing he had of her... The shadows on the drawing gave me enough info so I did my best using what I had... I had to put my heart & soul in this piece... This is his mother... many blessings

Phoenix Tattoo (last night)
This is a piece I did lastnight... She wanted a Phoenix... I wanted it to follow the natural curves of the body....most black & grey with a slight touch of color in the flames and lotus hidden behind the bird...she took it very well... Thought she was sleep most of the time... She was relaxed and in a zone... It was a nice peaceful session... I'm thankful

Better Late Than Never
Like the title says already, this post is later than it was supposed to be.
I was supposed to put up the winners of the sticker contest, but I haven't.
I know I'm not that good at planning stuff, so you should blame my secretary for not letting me know on time. Or maybe you should blame the fact that I don' t even have a secretary, or even more so, the fact that I don't even have an agenda.
First off I have a couple of entries, I haven't put up yet.
Kinder Bunker.
Bunker chewinggums.
Bunker soaps.
Bunker bunny.
Unfortunately none of these where included in the final three.
But these where!
Third place goes to, Mehdi and I.
Now don't go saying it's unfair, because it's our competition. I just had to include it. Come on seriously, how often do you see stickers on a plane? Especially Bunker stickers?
Samuel L. Jackson would be getting tired of these motherf*cking stickers on these motherf*cking planes.
Second place goes to, Dennis.
For his Bunker shirt improv. The only reason he is in the final three, actually, is because het got me a sandwich the other day.
The first prize goes to, Pascal!
For his pirate sticker. Because pirates kick ass and they deserve some credit for that every once in a while.
All the above winners can come by to collect their prizes, when they want, as they want and if they want.

Part One Of The Duology
Willem finished up the hate wolf foot, a couple of days ago and I thought it might be time to put it up here.
As you might already know, this is one half of the Love-Hate feet Willem is doing. One down, one to go. Willem went home early today so I took it on myself to steal a sneak peek of the heart for you guys.
I'll keep you updated as it progresses.

Love in a place.....
I'm back in Atlanta from my tattoo tour in Europe..this trip has changed my life...the first 2 weeks we stayed in London...I wanted to check out areas I have heard and read about....Brixton was one of those places...It reminded me of Harlem...the people were really cool... They spoke the vibe was cool... It was good energy... We hooked up with some people and we all smoked out...I could tell a lot of history was in Brixton.. I felt it which inspired this drawing...a heavenly bird that looks over the children of Brixton...children who look at Americans and want to be us..which wasn't really a good thing... People all over the world are looking at us trying to copy who they think we are...we all aren't role models so we can inspire the youth in a negative way at times...this drawing is for those children looking to find themselves in this new world... Brixton a piece of my heart was left behind with you...
I did this drawing using an 005 micron ink pen... No pencil was used... It was straight ink pencil.. I'm trying to do more ink drawing without the use of any pencil...I trying to get out the habit of everything having to be so perfect in a drawing... I guess since I have been tattooing for 18 years now it put me in a mindstate that everything as to be perfect... But this isn't skin it's a sketchbook so I had to let loose and let my hand follow my instinct..

Geisha
Mehdi got to do some shading on the Geisha shoulder. It's still not finished though.
I don't know the exact meaning or reason behind this particular tattoo. However I would like to share some information on the Geisha itself.
A Geisha is a member of a professional class of women in Japan whose traditional occupation is to entertain men. They must be adept at singing, dancing, and playing traditional musical instruments in addition to being skilled at making conversation. They usually start their training in girlhood.
The geisha system is thought to have emerged in the 17th century to provide a class of well-trained entertainers set apart from courtesans and prostitutes. The numbers of geisha have declined from some 80,000 in the 1920s to a few thousand at present
Most of them are still active in the Tokyo and Kyoto areas, where they are patronized by only the wealthiest businessmen and most influential politicians.
Geishas however are not to be mistaken for prostitutes, they were supposed to entertain primarily through their performing arts and making conversation.

C'est Ça
Mehdi put the finishing touches on Dennis' koi front piece today.
It turned out pretty awesome to say the least. I'll post a picture of the healed piece as soon as I get it.
Dennis will be back in a couple of months anyway, to start the other side of his chest, wich will consist of stuff I'm really not supposed to be sharing with you right now. You didn't get this from me, but there might be a skull in there and maybe even a snake or two.
Dennis even got me a club sandwich, so I could tell all of you what a great guy he is.
